Teen Drive

Put the screens on charge and get them animated as they take the first steps on their driving journey.  Our unique Teen Drive experience is the perfect introduction to driving.

Everything about our venue was especially made for driving and we can provide young drivers with early driving experiences on private roadways, large and safe tarmac areas and even our hillside rally stage!  Our aim is to teach the basics of car control, encourage progression and ensure every young driver leaves with a sound understanding and appreciation of driving a car.

Your Teen Drive

Our team of skilled instructors takes pride in helping teenage students build driving confidence step by step. Young drivers learn the basics of driving very quickly and with surprising ease. 

Behind the wheel of a dual-controlled saloon car, teens experience a mix of hands-on driving and valuable road safety advice —all in a relaxed, safe setting. We promote safe, responsible driving skills that teens can carry forward as they progress to the next stages of driving.

Teen Drive includes initial driving sessions, a road safety module with a hazard perception test, and progressive driving sessions. It wraps up with an exciting group karting event!

The Knockhill Track

Knockhill Racing Circuit is a thrilling 1.27-mile track, renowned for its adrenaline-pumping twists, turns, and dramatic 200-foot elevation changes. As Scotland's only FIA-graded circuit, it accommodates both car and bike racing in both directions, offering a truly unique motorsport experience. The challenging layout features tight corners, steep climbs, and technical descents, delivering an exhilarating ride for drivers and riders alike.

Knockhill has a rich history in British motorsport, hosting prestigious events like the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) and British Superbikes (BSB). Its reputation for being both challenging and rewarding makes it a favorite among racers.

Spectators enjoy panoramic views of the action, thanks to the track’s natural elevation. Whether you're behind the wheel or watching from the stands, Knockhill promises an unforgettable motorsport experience!

Went and did the Ferrari experience here. What a buzz! Brilliant day out. The instructors were really good. Friendly and knowledgeable they put you at ease and give you great pointers to build your confidence and improve your laps. Food in the cafe was also good and they do a decent cup of tea. I would recommend them to anyone.

Hi, I was over on Monday for a day on track, karting and rally. Now that I have the power back in my limbs, I wanted to contact you to say that I had a fantastic day. The instructors were superb and the whole staff consummate professionals. The day was a gift and of course I was asked if it was 'worth the money'? My reply (you’re getting a summary here as I went on about it for hours) was that you made me experience the adrenaline, concentration and rewards usually only experienced when in one's youth. What a great day out! This was a birthday gift driving a 306 bhp turbo Honda Civic Type R - just the thing for lovers of speed. Not only was this an awesome experience for the participants but also for their families and friends. There are lots of options for viewing. Staff are friendly and very pleasant and helpful. No driving licence or previous driving experience is required for the Teen Drive Experience
 
Age requirements
Exclusively for 13-17 year old drivers.
 
What to wear for the Teen Drive Experience
Dress for outdoors, casual and comfortable clothing is ideal.  

Before the event

You will be sent a registration document and link to watch a safety briefing video, please complete this at home before your experience. A parent of guardian is required to countersign for all drivers under the age of 18 years old. 

Availability 
Weekdays during the Easter, Summer & October school holidays plus selected weekend dates outwith the school holiday periods.
 
Arranging a date for your experience
You can arrange a date for your experience by telephone or via our website. If your voucher is not already booked into a date, you can scan the QR code displayed on your voucher or follow the link below.  Prebooking is essential, all dates are subject to numbers and availability BOOK A DATE  
 
Arrival
Please arrive in plenty of time for your experience; late arrivals may invalidate your booking. 
 
Voucher validity
Your driving experience gift voucher is supplied with an expiry date; you can find this printed on your voucher or e-voucher.  If you need to extend the date, you may do so for up to 6 calendar months.  The cost to do this is £10 per additional month. Unfortunately we are not able to accept bookings after the 6 additional months.
 
Upgrading your voucher
You can do this easily at any time within the validity period of your voucher by calling the sales and booking team on 01383 723337 to discuss the options.
 
Making a cancellation to your booking
If you need to rearrange a confirmed date we are happy to do this for you at no extra charge on one occasion provided you give us 14 days notice.  Cancellations made with less than 14 days notice will be charged at £20.  If you do not attend your confirmed booking date a 50% additional rebooking fee will apply if you wish to reschedule.
 
Descriptions and timings
We aim to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions and durations.  Where the duration of an experience is quoted in literature, on our website or by our sales and booking team, this is an approximate time and is given to you as a guide.  You will normally take part in your experience along with other participants and coaching may be shared.  There will be some waiting time included in the experience duration.
 
Refunds
For your peace of mind you can return your voucher to us within 7 days of receipt for a full refund.  All refunds will be made to the person who purchased the voucher and will be refunded directly by the original payment method.  After the 7 day period you may transfer the voucher to an alternative driver.  A replacement driver will be accepted at any time up to the point of registration of your confirmed date.  Alternatively, you can use the value of your voucher towards any other experience, event or product from Knockhill Racing Circuit.  The original validity period will apply to the transferred event or experience.
 
The weather
Although we are normally unaffected by the weather, there can be no guarantee that a date will not be withdrawn due to extreme/adverse weather conditions or any other event beyond our control. If we are unable to run your experience as arranged, we will attempt to contact you with as much notice as possible. Please ensure you have provided us with current mobile telephone numbers and email addresses.  Your experience can be rearranged within 3 months of your original date or within the original validity period of your voucher.

Gift Vouchers
