Border Access Knockhill Rally Stages Summary

Buckle up for one of Knockhill’s rally events to start 2025 – the Border Access Knockhill Rally Stages 2025. There’s nothing like a rally day, and this high-energy, multi-stage event will have you right in the heart of the action as drivers tear through our iconic course.

This exciting event opens the Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship, Scottish Single Venue Rally Championship, Back to Roots Tarmack Championship, AS Performance North of England Tarmacadam Rally Championship, and the MG3 Rally Challenge for 2025.

Spectators are in for something special! The paddock is open for a close-up look at the cars and teams, and for top-notch viewing, cross the bridge to the track center or head over to the hairpin to take in the hillside stage. With 90% of the course visible from these prime spots, it’s a front-row seat to the action.

Kick off 2025 with this fantastic rally event at Knockhill – the first of two rally events this year with the return of the McRae Rally Challenge on September 20th and 21st.

Scottish Championship Car Racing - Round 1 Summary

Scottish Championship car racing kicks off with an action-packed Twin-Track event using both anti-clockwise and clockwise configurations. This unique format is a thrilling weekend of motorsport with racing in both directions adding to the challenge and action for drivers and spectators alike.  

The event features the best of KMSC and SMRC racing championships with a packed grid of Scottish Legends, Mod-Sports, Super Lap Scotland Championships, with intense racing across both days. Saturday will showcase the Scottish Mini and Scottish C1 Championships, while Sunday brings the Scottish Fiesta ST Cup and Scottish Classic Sports & Saloons Championships to the track. Visiting on both days are the powerful and superfast Northern Saloons and Sports Cars adding colour and drama for the fans. 

Saturday will feature our Mini Mania Car Show, highlighting the best Mini's in town with special awards up for grabs and an exciting track parade for participating show cars. 

In addition to the racing, this event will celebrate and honour the dedicated Armed Forces, NHS, and Blue Light personnel, offering them free entry for the weekend with valid ID. On Sunday, the Forces will host a variety of stands, adding a special touch to the event and providing an opportunity for all to show their appreciation for these essential services.

Get ready for our Easter Family Fun Day, packed with thrilling Hot Hatch on-track action and exciting Easter-themed activities for everyone! Come watch the wide variety of cars take to the track, while the paddocks shine with stunning show cars competing for top awards.

Whether you're a seasoned driver or new to the track, everyone with a full driving license is welcome, and a full driver briefing will be provided. Plus, this event kicks off our 1st Car Club Show of 2025! Clubs and private entries from across the country will showcase their pride and joy, competing for trophies and awards.

Off-track Fun for All Ages! During the lunch break, join us for an Egg Rolling competition and enjoy drifting displays. It’s all about family-friendly fun, so bring the kids, bring your friends, and dive into Easter at Knockhill!

50 Years Of Car Racing at Knockhill - Best of Scottish Car Racing Summary

On the 18th of May 1975, motorsport in Scotland changed for ever with the opening car race meeting at Knockhill. 50 years later, to the day, this very special event will take all Scottish car racing drivers and fans down memory lane as we celebrate 5 decades of car racing at Knockhill.

This unique weekend will combine a "Best of Scottish" race meeting with both Knockhill Motor Sports Club and SMRC racing championships being given the spotlight on Saturday 17th, but on Sunday 18th May we will be turning the clock back to the heydays of the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Scottish champions across the 5 decades will be present, many with their original competition cars on display and on track during special parades and track sessions. The sight and sounds of these iconic race cars will be a trip down memory lane for many. 

We are delighted to also be recreating the famous opening ceremony from 1975 with the return of a thunderous Formula 5000, similar to the one that opened the track with Chris Amon at the wheel back in 1975 and a demo by a Footwork F1.

briSCA F1 Stock Cars Summary

After a 20-year gap, we are thrilled to announce the return of the briSCA F1 Stock Cars to Knockhill. The F1's are the pinnacle of oval racing with their thunderous V8 Chevrolet engines competing on the 1/4 mile tri-oval circuit at Knockhill.

The event will combine the very best of national and local racers on the one afternoon and evening of spectacular stock car action. In F1's, full contact is allowed and actively encouraged as drivers literally push their way to the front. The bumpers at the front are for giving the contact and their rear bumpers are for receiving and it's up to the drivers to literally battle with their fellow competitors.

Also joining will be BriSCA National Ministox & Saloon Stock Cars, known for their intense wheel-to-wheel battles and skillful driving. These iconic cars will add to the day's motorsports spectacle, providing fans with non-stop excitement.

The F1's race anti-clockwise with the others clockwise, and is 100% in view all the time for fans as all the action takes place at Knockhill's unique tri-oval. Follow the progress of the fast drivers at the back with their red roofs as it's whites first, followed by blues, yellows and finally the top red roofs.

Action and drama is guaranteed!

Round two of the 2025 championship season roars into action on Knockhill’s clockwise circuit, as riders intensify their quest for KMSC and Scottish Championship glory. With 28 races packed into the weekend, fans can expect fierce competition as racers battle for the top spots.

Experience the adrenaline of 160mph bike racing as over 140 competitors vie for victory across seven championships, including the powerhouse Superbike and Clubman 1000cc classes and the nimble 300s showcasing young talent as early as age 12.

With a fast-paced schedule and up to eight hours of nonstop racing each day, this promises to be a weekend full of high-speed action and unforgettable moments!

Scottish Championship Car Racing - Gerard McCosh Meeting Summary

Rewind Bike Festival Summary

The Rewind Bike Festival will not only feature stars from the 5 decades of Knockhill, but bikes from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, plus an exciting array of activities both on and off the track, that will excite and entertain old and young alike! 

The event will host a multitude of bike sports; from 50 & 100 lap endurance races to classic bike racing, champion parades, mini moto demos, plus more — this event will have nonstop action across every corner. Whether you're a fan or a racer, there's something thrilling happening every moment!

This is the event every bike sport enthusiast, rider, and Knockhill fan won't want to miss.

Scottish Championship Car Racing - Best Of Scottish - Round 4 Summary

Get ready for an epic weekend of Scottish motorsport! The Knockhill Motor Sports Club and SMRC proudly present the Best of Scottish Club Racing event, featuring Super Lap Scotland, Mod-Sports Championship, Scottish Legends Championship, and all the SMRC championships.

This event marks the thrilling finale of the SLS Championship, with both days running in the exciting clockwise direction. Joining the action are the SMRC Championships, including the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup, Fiesta ST Cup, C1 Cup, and the Classic Sports and Saloon Championship.

Experience the ultimate showcase of Scottish circuit racing with non-stop action and heart-pounding competition. Don’t miss it!

McRae Rally Challenge Summary

The world of rallying is once again gearing up for one of the biggest celebrations since Colin McRae became Britain’s first World Rally Champion in 1995. The event, will not only commemorate Colin becoming the youngest ever World Rally Champion but also recognise and celebrate the achievements of Jimmy McRae and his 50 years in the driving seat, Alister a previous MRC winner and 3rd generation star Max McRae who is taking on the world stage.

Taking centre stage over the weekend will be the third running of the invitational McRae Rally Challenge, run in 2015 and last run at Knockhill in 2022.

The McRae Rally Challenge will incorporate a huge variety of rally attractions, combining static displays with dramatic on-stage rally action. The McRae Rally Challenge event is a special invitational for leading national and international rally crews, which will feature two one-day single venue rallies, a Junior rally event and will also see the named "McRae's Corner" in use once again. 

Time Attack/ Racing Hondas/ Ultimate Racing Championship Summary

After over a decade, we are thrilled to be welcoming back Time Attack, one of the fastest championships in the UK. Time Attack is not racing but pits man (and women) and machine against the clock for the ultimate lap time. The Pro Class has cars that almost defy desciption with 1000hp plus on tap as they tear up the tarmac in persuit of the perfect lap. 

With engine tuning, suspension mods and aero packages that would rival F1, Time Attack will bring the speed, sounds and spectacle not seen at Knockhill as the whole sport has been taken to a whole new level in the last decade.

Joining Time Attack, the top-level UK racing series for Honda cars, Racing Hondas Championship will also be attending. Running on the same programme as the highly successful Time Attack Championship, this innovative addition to the Club’s motorsport line-up will showcase some of the best Honda racing around.

In addition to the impressive clubstand and individual displays, up to 150 passionate car owners will take on the twists and dips of the legendary Knockhill track. Open to all types of road and track cars with drivers who have a full current Driving Licence. First timers are welcome too as a full briefing will be given to all drivers.

Live-Action & Fireworks Spectacular Summary

Join us for an unforgettable day of family fun and excitement on Saturday, November 1st 2025, as we return with our annual Bonfire and Fireworks Spectacular! From thrilling motorsport action to awe-inspiring fireworks, this event has something for everyone – it’s the ultimate family day out in Scotland!

Gates open at 1:00 pm, with on-track excitement starting at 2:00 pm, all leading up to the grand finale: a breathtaking fireworks display at 5:45 pm. The action centers around Knockhill's famous tri-oval section, delivering nonstop thrills that will keep everyone on the edge of their seat.

We’ve packed this day with family-friendly activities for kids of all ages, so whether they're captivated by the on-track spectacle or enjoying the many activities on-site, there’s plenty to keep little ones entertained. Bring your family to Knockhill this November for a day of roaring engines, spectacular sights, and one epic fireworks show that everyone will be talking about!
