The Racing Track

Knockhill Racing Circuit is Scotland’s premier motorsport venue.  With its fast-flowing corners, technical twists, and dramatic elevation changes, including a thrilling 200 feet between its highest and lowest points, every lap is truly memorable.  It’s also the only circuit in the UK licensed to run in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions, giving riders two distinct track experiences, each with its own unique challenges and thrills.

As Scotland’s only internationally graded racing circuit, Knockhill is accredited by the FIA, SACU, and Motorsport UK, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and rider experience. Whether you're a first-time track rider or an experienced racer, Knockhill offers an exciting environment to push your limits and enjoy the ride.

Rider Equipment Requirements

  • Your safety on track is our top priority, and having the right gear is essential for a safe and enjoyable experience.

    Essential Trackday Clothing

    • A full leather one-piece suit or a fully zipped-together two-piece leather suit. The zip must cover your torso with no gap between the jacket and trousers when fastened.
    • An ACU gold-sticker-approved full-face helmet.
    • Motorcycle gloves that provide full wrist coverage.
    • Motorcycle boots that provide full ankle protection.
    • A full-length back protector is mandatory!  Alternatively you may wear leathers equipped with airbag technology.
    • While leathers are strongly recommended, some EU-approved Kevlar or textile suits are permitted if they are two-piece and zip together fully.

All equipment must be in good condition and fit for purpose. Our team will carry out safety checks and reserves the right to deny track access if any equipment does not meet the required standards.

For those wanting to record their experience, all filming equipment must be securely mounted to the motorcycle using a purpose-designed bracket. Cameras or brackets are NOT permitted on the helmet, rider’s body, leathers, or motorcycle tank.

By following these requirements, you’ll be fully prepared for a safe, fun, and memorable visit to Knockhill.

Track Formats

The Only Circuit in the UK with Twin Track Action!

Knockhill is the only circuit in the UK licenced to run in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions, offering riders two distinct track experiences, each with its own unique challenges and thrills.

Clockwise

The classic Knockhill experience! Exit the pitlane to your left and charge down to Duffus Dip, one of the most notorious corners in UK motorsport.

Anti-Clockwise

Same venue, new track! Enter the pitlane and turn right, where the final corner becomes the first, kicking off your session with a dive into the famous hairpin.

Twin Track – A UK Exclusive!

Why settle for one track when you can ride two? Start your day riding anti-clockwise, break for a relaxing lunch, then hit the track again in the familiar clockwise formation for a completely different experience, all in the same day!
