Last Saturday, appropriately Burns Night, coincided with the Motorsport UK Night of Champions as the 2024 British Champions and special awards were presented at the RAC Club, Pall Mall in London. Whilst the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Damon Hill, HRH Prince Michael of Kent Award of Merit went to BTCC supremo Alan Gow and BTCC presenter Louise Goodman won the Murray Walker media award - it was Scots who featured within many of the other awards on the prestigious evening.
Tom Purves from Edinburgh won the HRH Prince Michael of Kent Award of Merit and Scot Professor Gordon Murray was presented the Keith Duckworth Award. Closer to home, former Scottish Formula Ford racer and now Ferrari contracted ESport racer Graham Carroll continued his dominance by winning the British F4 Esports Championship. Robert Proudlock and Steven Brown were presented the British Junior Rally Championship Trophy and Stuart Gray received the Sustainable Club of the Year Award on behalf of the Knockhill Motor Sports Club plus a cheque for £1000 to continue supporting the Clubs green off-setting activities with Carbon Positive Motorsport.
