A Pre-Season Message from Our Director of Events
The Knockhill Events Team is super excited ahead of the start of the 2025 racing season.
A lot of work and planning has gone into the forthcoming events, with several feature events being hosted in addition to the world-class British Superbikes in July and British Touring Cars in August. We sometimes have to pinch ourselves as to just how good these events are, bringing quality racing and racers to our home track.
Saltires will be flying high on two occasions as we host our three Braveheart Scots in the Superbikes, with John McPhee, Rory Skinner, and Lewis Rollo all vying for that top step of the podium. With four Scots in the Touring Cars, and the return of three-time British Champion Gordon Shedden with his teammate Ronan Pearson, the championship has taken a real twist of excitement as a mix of newcomers and existing stars will have us all on the edge of our seats.
50 years of car racing at Knockhill is being marked on the 18th of May as we turn the clock back to celebrate five decades of car sport at Knockhill. Many Scottish champions will be present, some with their original race machines! One week later, we are thrilled with the return of the BRISCA Formula One Stock Cars after almost 15 years which will race around our Tri-Oval track at the hairpin. Other highlights are the stunning McRae Rally Challenge which will have a raft of World and British Champions in attendance, and the high-speed, monstrous competition cars in Time Attack, both of which are in September.
April is a busy month as we kick off the Scottish championships for both cars and bikes within the next three weeks. Both events will provide the best of Scottish talent for us to enjoy as they tackle the internationally recognised circuit. They always provide a showcase for close, competitive racing, and whether you are a fan of four-wheel or two-wheel racing, why not pop along to Knockhill for some of the best club racing in the UK?
Finally, one for the kids, our Family Fun Easter Day Hot Hatch Track Day on Easter Sunday (April 20th) has a huge range of activities on and off track to entertain all the family. With face painting, a stilt walker, a fire eater, a treasure hunt, show cars, drifting, and a stock car demo, there is so much action to entertain kids of all ages!
See you soon at Knockhill, Scotland's National Motorsport Centre!
