Practice makes progress and you will be lapping the 1.3 miles of tarmac quicker and smoother with each lap and driving with ease as you progress towards that chequered flag.

Made by the historic French sportscar manufacturer Alpine, this car is loved by everyone who gets behind the wheel. It's fast, agile, and perfect for the twists and turns of Knockhill's iconic racing circuit. In fact, Top Gear awarded the Alpine A110 both ‘Performance Car of the Year’ and ‘Sports Car of the Year’, calling it "One of the best sports cars ever made." We couldn't agree more! This seriously quick car is a real driver's car, and we know you'll love it as much as we do.

The excitement begins as you climb into the cockpit of the Formula Racing Car and take a seat just inches above the famous Scottish tarmac. With an ultra light body, the power to weight ratio is truly awesome. The long wheel base of this racing car offers stable and secure cornering in all weathers. The Formula Racing Car is powered by a 1.8 litre, 16 valve mid-engine allowing for speeds aroung Knockhill Racing Circuit in excess of 100 mph. You will feel like a racing professional.

Knockhill Racing Circuit is a thrilling 1.27-mile track, renowned for its adrenaline-pumping twists, turns, and dramatic 200-foot elevation changes. As Scotland's only FIA-graded circuit, it accommodates both car and bike racing in both directions, offering a truly unique motorsport experience. The challenging layout features tight corners, steep climbs, and technical descents, delivering an exhilarating ride for drivers and riders alike.

I was very surprised as to how normal the whole experience felt despite the extra measures in place. My instructor was spot on and very helpful and keen to ensure I had a good feel for the car. It was nice to feel that the instructor had confidence in my ability also. The formula car felt almost like a big go kart, was good fun to drive and get a feel for an entirely different vehicle than I'm used to driving.

I Just wanted to send over a quick message thanking everyone for a really great experience this morning. I felt welcome and at ease from the moment I arrived at the gates. Dennis just seemed like a great guy who really wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing was very clear with his instruction and made sure that I enjoyed every moment. Kirsten ( who should be given a calorie allowance the amount of running up and down the pit she does ) was brilliant after finishing my first 5 laps and not really getting things right she gave me some pointers ref braking and gears which changed everything for me. I won’t hesitate to recommend Knockhill to anyone interested in some fun and look forward to my next experience. Many thanks Adrian

Boyfriend still buzzing after today's racing experience. Well organised and even very wet conditions couldn't spoil the fun. Staff were amazing with daughter as it's quite a long time to stand in wet conditions and she was so occupied watching and being involved (not in the driving obviously) that she never complained once. Only advice is to wrap up warm and with waterproofs if rainy as spray off cars passing leaves you pretty wet.

Get your motor running! Booked the Racing Car Experience for 22 year old daughter. She is a great driver but was (understandably) nervous. The day stated well and got better! Literally every member of staff we had contact with was brilliant - super friendly, efficient, helpful and patient! Big shout out to Instructor Nick - so positive and supportive. Hint - the "extra" of an in-car video may look like a rip, but it was SO worth it!!!!!!!! Enjoyable for the girl and her parents on the pit wall!!!!!!
