Knockhill is renowned as a demanding and exciting track, in equal measure, it is 1.27 miles (2km) long, and 30 feet (10 m) wide, with a dramatic series of twists, turns, drops and climbs, varying by around 200 feet (60m) from highest to lowest point.
It is the only FIA graded track of its type in the world that can host both car and bike racing in both directions on the International configuration, has dual licenced National Sprint circuit and a Rallycross track.
Stock car racing has previously been hosted on the Hairpin Tri-oval and there are extensive 4 x 4 off road tracks too.
