From the moment you step into your very own Legends racing car, you know this is going to be fun! Prepare to learn the skill of track driving, learning top techniques from our expert instructors as you handle the sleek, rear-wheel drive Alpine A110 sports car for 4 laps around the track. Sit back and relax as our talented instructors take the wheel for exhilarating demonstration laps. Then, it’s your turn to drive the Legends race car.

These "wee beasties" pack a punch with their gutsy 125bhp Yamaha motorcycle engine. They’re serious racing machines—quirky, quick off the mark, and agile enough to turn on a sixpence. Once you've experienced the thrill, you’ll be bitten by the Legends bug - they just ooze fun!

We're thrilled to introduce you to this multi award-winning sports car - the Alpine A110. Made by the historic French sportscar manufacturer Alpine, this car is loved by everyone who gets behind the wheel. It's fast, agile, and perfect for the twists and turns of Knockhill's iconic racing circuit. In fact, Top Gear awarded the Alpine A110 both ‘Performance Car of the Year’ and ‘Sports Car of the Year’, calling it "One of the best sports cars ever made." We couldn't agree more! Legends Race Cars

Legends race cars feature body shells that are 5/8-scale replicas of classic American automobiles from the 1930s, powered by a 1250cc Yamaha motorcycle engine. Rear wheel drive, boasting quick steering and a lightweight body, offering an excellent power-to-weight ratio that delivers an exciting and unforgettable track driving experience. While the Legends may look small, they pack plenty of punch. Don’t be fooled by their cute appearance—these are serious racing cars, quirky to drive and quick off the mark. The Knockhill Track

Knockhill Racing Circuit is a thrilling 1.27-mile track, renowned for its adrenaline-pumping twists, turns, and dramatic 200-foot elevation changes. As Scotland's only FIA-graded circuit, it accommodates both car and bike racing in both directions, offering a truly unique motorsport experience. The challenging layout features tight corners, steep climbs, and technical descents, delivering an exhilarating ride for drivers and riders alike.

Knockhill has a rich history in British motorsport, hosting prestigious events like the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) and British Superbikes (BSB). Its reputation for being both challenging and rewarding makes it a favorite among racers.

Spectators enjoy panoramic views of the action, thanks to the track’s natural elevation. Whether you're behind the wheel or watching from the stands, Knockhill promises an unforgettable motorsport experience!

First Time Race Goer - Had a blast!! Attended the Superbike racing on Sunday. I have never been to a race circuit and did not know what to expect. Pleasantly surprised by the facilities and the circuit itself. Food was very good, trade stands also great. The racing was thrilling. I did learn somethings as a first timer. Make sure you wear sunscreen (you sit outside most of the day) and top it up through the day. If you want a comfortable seat bring one with you, lots of places to put your own chair some under cover, there is seating at the circuit but it is not comfortable for long periods. Don't forget to drink plenty of water, it is very easy to get caught up in the action and forget! This was a great experience for my first time attending a race circuit would definitely recommend.

formula racing experience was amazing, well organised and the instructors where very clear and on the ball especially when I forgot to press the brake pedal just before first corner. he he ðŸ˜‚ I instructor had a moment I think he saying brake brake a few times and getting more louder. ps I did enjoy using excelsior at same time.

A full valid UK/European driving licence is required for the Legends Experience.

What to wear for the Legends Experience

Dress for outdoors and wear casual, comfortable clothing with flat soled footwear, jeans and trainers are ideal! High heels, sandals and flip flops are not permitted. We have waterproof suits available for rainy days.

Before the Event

You will be sent a registration document and link to watch a safety briefing video, please complete this at home before your experience.

Arranging a date for the Legends Experience

You can arrange a date for your experience by telephone or via our website. If your voucher is not already booked into a date, you can scan the QR code displayed on your voucher or follow the link below. Prebooking is essential, all dates are subject to numbers and availability.

BOOK A DATE

Arrival

Please arrive in plenty of time for your experience; late arrivals may invalidate your booking.

Gift Voucher validity

Your driving experience gift voucher is supplied with an expiry date; you can find this printed on your voucher or e-voucher. If you need to extend the date, you may do so for up to 6 calendar months. The cost to do this is £10 per additional month. Unfortunately we are not able to accept bookings after the 6 additional months.

Upgrading your voucher

You can do this easily at any time within the validity period of your voucher by calling the sales and booking team on 01383 723337 to discuss the options.

Making a cancellation to your booking

If you need to rearrange a confirmed date we are happy to do this for you at no extra charge on one occasion provided you give us 14 days notice. Cancellations made with less than 14 days notice will be charged at £20. If you do not attend your confirmed booking date a 50% additional rebooking fee will apply if you wish to reschedule.

Descriptions and timings

We aim to be as accurate as possible with our descriptions and durations. Where the duration of an experience is quoted in literature, on our website or by our sales and booking team, this is an approximate time and is given to you as a guide. You will normally take part in your experience along with other participants and coaching may be shared. There will be some waiting time included in the experience duration.

Refunds

For your peace of mind you can return your voucher to us within 7 days of receipt for a full refund. All refunds will be made to the person who purchased the voucher and will be refunded directly by the original payment method. After the 7 day period you may transfer the voucher to an alternative driver. A replacement driver will be accepted at any time up to the point of registration of your confirmed date. Alternatively, you can use the value of your voucher towards any other experience, event or product from Knockhill Racing Circuit. The original validity period will apply to the transferred event or experience.

The weather

Although we are normally unaffected by the weather, there can be no guarantee that the Formula Racing Car Experience will not be withdrawn due to extreme/adverse weather conditions or any other event beyond our control. If we are unable to run your experience as arranged, we will attempt to contact you with as much notice as possible. Please ensure you have provided us with current mobile telephone numbers and email addresses. Your experience can be rearranged within 3 months of your original date or within the original validity period of your voucher.

Gift Vouchers

All gift vouchers are fully transferrable and can be redeemed against any activity, experience, product or event for sale at Knockhill Racing Circuit Ltd. The value of which will be up to the stated monetary value of your purchased voucher.
