Best Saloon Racing In The World

Practice, qualifying and a 17-race programme will entertain everyone over the weekend of the 10th & 11th of August. The unique nature of the Knockhill track promotes the closest racing of the season with cars often airborne as they attack the famous Duffus Dip, Blackcircles Chicane and Clarks!

2024 Season So Far...

The 2024 BTCC season has been highly competitive, with Jake Hill of Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport currently leading the championship standings. Hill's consistent performance, including multiple race victories, has positioned him at the top. Tom Ingram of Team Bristol Street Motors is hot on his heels, just four points behind, making every race crucial. Adding to the excitement, reigning champion Ashley Sutton of NAPA Racing UK is in third place, showcasing his formidable racing ability and keeping the pressure on the frontrunners. This tightly contested championship promises thrilling battles and strategic manoeuvres as the season progresses.

Aiden Moffat - LKQ Euro Car Parts with SYNETIQ

Aiden Moffat, the talented Scotsman, made a significant move in 2023 by joining the newly rebranded One Motorsport team, racing alongside Josh Cook and Will Powell in a Honda Civic Type R. His best result that season was an impressive third place at Thruxton.

Entering his 11th season with over 1000 BTCC points, Moffat has transitioned to the Speedworks outfit in the Toyota Corolla, once again teaming up with Cook. In 2024, Moffat has shown remarkable consistency and skill, achieving several top-ten finishes and securing a notable victory at Snetterton in May. His determination and experience make him a formidable competitor and a fan favorite in the BTCC circuit.

Ronan Pearson - Team BRISTOL STREET MOTORS

In 2023, Ronan Pearson made a dynamic BTCC debut with EXCELR8 Motorsport, impressing fans with his tenacity. He narrowly missed his first podium but electrified his home crowd at Knockhill with a thrilling fourth-place finish.

This season, Pearson has soared to new heights, capturing a sensational maiden victory at Brands Hatch. His determined pursuit of the Jack Sears’ Trophy reflects his ambition after finishing a commendable fifth overall in 2023. Pearson continues to inspire with his unwavering drive and competitive spirit on the BTCC circuit.

Here’s how the weekend pans out - Action starts early on Saturday 10th August with warm up sessions for all classes before the fast and furious BTCC qualifying session which will feature a new "Indy" style format for 2024. The grid will be split into two groups for 10 minute sessions, with the fastest six from each going to a ten minute "Top 12" session from which the top six go into a final "Quick Six" ten minute session. This action packed day continues with all the support championships racing, making Saturday a must-visit day too.

 

On Sunday 11th August, it's another action-packed day for you as it features exhilarating hard-charging support class racing and three feature races for the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. Come for the weekend or just come for the main event day, the choice is yours but what you are in for is the best of British motorsport showcasing their skills at Knockhill over the two days.
